Research
Workshop 1:
I facilitated a concept workshop to build a shared understanding with the client about the website's needs and context. Prior to the workshop, I sent a survey to a diverse group of the client’s experts to gather background information. The survey included questions about the website's target audiences, business objectives, key content, and functionalities. The client requested a simple marketing-focused website with the potential to evolve as the business expands.

Benchmark:
I analyzed the websites of both direct and indirect competitors. I examined other solutions to understand how information is presented in the industry, what types of information are emphasized, and what kind of hierarchy is used on the sites.

Workshop 2:
We gathered feedback from the client on the structure and finalized the last version. In this workshop, we also focused on content needs and their production in more detail.
Site map and wireframes:
I created a site map and wireframes to support the UI designers and developers work.

Outcome and impact
Website for new markets
My role was a UX Designer so I created the website’s sitemap and wireframes to communicate about information architecture and user paths. The UI designer developed brand-aligned elements, and we collaborated to refine the site structure.
As a result, the new site Plugit Global for global markets was published on autumn 2024.

The new site serves the goals of green transition in Europe by offering services for public high-power charging station for electric heavy transport. User behavior on the website will be analyzed to get insights about the functionality for the page visitors.

Learnings and measuring success
During the project, I learned the importance of the concepting phase in managing expectations. Especially, when working in a new industry, it is crucial to ask, "What do you mean by X?" and to clarify what certain concepts mean from the customer's perspective.
The schedule was tight, and seamless teamwork along with transparent planning with customers, contributed to our success.

Measurement can be based on traffic on the new page, customer experiences regarding the informativeness of the site, and the number of inquiries and leads through the site.
